BOA Stage & Screen Collaborates on New Birmingham Film Aiming to Save the Planet – One Tree at a Time.
Birmingham’s indie production company, Threewise Entertainment, has triumphed at the prestigious Films for the Forest competition in Austin, Texas (USA).
Hollywood filmmaker Richard Linklater, the director of School of Rock and Hit Man, led the competition’s jury. Threewise Entertainment’s winning entry, a short film titled "Stolen Thought", was shot in just 48 hours and originally produced for the 15th Anniversary of the Sci-Fi London 48 Hour Film Challenge. The film was also a Top 10 Finalist in that competition.

Whilst we are a 100% selective academy, we do not ask for any specific academic grades in order to enroll onto our BTEC Level 3 Pathways. We believe that your passion and potential to learn are much more significant factors in industry success and therefore, we prefer to assess these attributes via our Aptitude Workshop process.

Over 100 KS4 students from local schools attended our Discover Creative Careers event last week at BOA Stage and Screen as part of the national Discover Creative Careers Week 2023 programme.

This live event was produced by BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy students in collaboration with Cirque L ’amour Aerial Arts and Pole Academy. Delivered at the Old Rep theatre, this was an immersive theatrical experience for Halloween 2023!

Influenced by the recent popular Netflix series - 'The Witcher', our Creative production students showcased their latest project, demonstrating some fabulous creative work around set design, costume design and production, make-up, wigs and props. In addition the technical pathway students provided professional lighting, special effects and sound effects.
