A new Caribbean style cafe called ‘Life Cafe’ has opened up in Ladywood, Birmingham, and is offering an exciting and interesting menu. 

The cafe opened within the past few weeks, and they offer a delivery service as well as an eat in cafe. The cafe is located on Eyre Street, in Springhill, Birmingham, and is local to BOA Stage and Screen, a nearby college, meaning that the takeaway is a great lunch option for hungry college students, especially those who want to try new and cultural food that they may not have tried before, since the takeaway specialises in Caribbean food.  

The cafe was opened by Neema Kaegele, who is keen to promote her new cafe by encouraging the local college students to try out the takeaway. Neema herself is confident that the food is well worth a try and would like to encourage the local students to do so, “You won’t be disappointed, once you try our food, you’re definitely coming back.” 

The cafe has a mouth-watering menu which offers a range of Caribbean food, like fried chicken, sea food specials, loaded burgers, and even winter specials. The cafe also hopes to soon offer a breakfast menu, which will give you the options of a traditional full English breakfast, or a classic Caribbean dish, ackee and saltfish.  

Springhill doesn’t currently offer a huge number of places for students to purchase lunch from, with the local supermarket taking reign when it comes to lunch choices, and often leading students to consume the same lunches every day, so Life Cafe is a fantastic way for students and anyone else to branch out when it comes to trying new and great food.
