Where did life take you after BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy?
After BOA Stage and Screen, I went to University in Guildford where I have specialised in Lighting and carried out roles such as Production Electrician and Follow spot. Whilst at university, I have been doing freelance work with different lighting companies and working in places such Kilworth House Theatre and most recently I was the Stage LX for the Yvonne Arnaud's Pantomime.
What was your fondest memory of BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy?
My fondest memory of BOA Stage and Screen was working on our shows such as The View from a Bridge and Billy Elliot. I also loved how we worked closely with PRG, which helped me get the opportunity even getting to go to the Brit awards with them.
Why did you attend BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy?
I always wanted to be on the stage and was already at a BOA school studying Musical theatre and all I thought about was how I’d make it look. I wanted to be part of the backstage community and found a love for lighting tech and design and applied for BOA Stage and Screen.
Lastly, why should students apply for BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy?
It’s a school that teaches you all aspects of theatre, live event and screen. It gives you great amount of knowledge you need with opportunities to put that work into practice through shows.
Lastly, a piece of advice for current learners: Don’t shy away from opportunities and take the leap when you can.
